The other night I couldn’t decide whether to have peanut butter or Speculoos on my wheat bread. This was my solution.
Peanut butter will be known to any American, but Speculoos will not be. That’s because not only is it seldom eaten in the United States, but it also goes by a different name there than in its native Europe: Biscoff. Yes, this is utterly confusing, and yes, both names are a bit odd. But the fact of the matter is that it is delicious.
Next time you’re confronted with an either/or question, try answering, “Why not both?”
