Roman Ruins in Rabat

Although I was only in Casa for a long weekend, to my delight my friend and host suggested Rabat as an easy day trip we could do. Upon our arrival in the city, the difference was already noticeable. Rabat was clean with wide avenues, probably a result of the government’s investment in the capital of the country.

We walked around Chellah, peaceful Roman ruins inhabited by storks and meandering cats. There were few visitors, so I imagined that we discovered the site and were exploring it after years untouched.
